That’s something I always found funny and could never understand. Not only me but others have been warned and suspended ,for being abusive and displaying aggressive behavior when we called someone an asshole. But you could start a thread to call someone out and rag on them. Nobody gave a fuck, it was just a big laugh. You could insult, ridicule, and basically call them whatever you wanted. Nothing abusive or being aggressive when they did that. I’m glad those times have changed

But not too long ago someone posted a Where Is This Member Thread for the simple purpose to shit on this member. Some people chimed in and had their fun. Throwing insults, being rude, saying things that they never said to him when he was here. I love how some people suddenly seem to grow a pair of balls and talk shit about someone when they’re no longer here

I said my peace and posted how I felt about it. I also let them know that I was reporting the thread because it was just a hate thread. It was deleted and threads like that should be. Threads that have to do with children and hate need to be reported.

 

Two cents... laissez faire rule enforcement works great when you have a sheriff in town making folks tow the line. If you have 100,000 sheriffs self-enforcing whatever their priorities are, you get what you get and cyberspace becomes the wild west all over again. If self-policing is what this is, I'm policing myself... help folks that struggle getting settled, call out the moonshiers when they get full of themselves, and pass on shit above my pay grade, that's all a member can do.

 

From what I gather "the good old days" here looked bloody awful! People ranting in the forum unchecked, and power-tripping staff.

If I had joined back then, I would have taken a quick sniff of the forums and closed my account immediately. I don't know if it really was as bad as all that, - but you hear or read the odd story now and again.

Sure - If I say that then big deal, but if thousands per year sign up to xnxx, and all have the same reaction - Not so good.
