    My experience is that most men are attracted to the women they grow up with. I grew up in a small Central California town that was half Hispanic half white. Nearly all my friends would say the same as I, that early years exposure was the biggest influence. When we moved out into the bigger world realized we tended to look for relationships only with the same. I was actually disturbed with myself when I looked around in the big world and realized I wasn't attracted to African American women. I felt like I was somehow a racist and didn't even know it. It was with a lot of relief and joy when out in the real world and having really great social and work relationships with women of other backgrounds that I started seeing beauty everywhere. I had one friend who was the opposite, attracted to what was most exotic and unfamiliar, I thought he was lucky, far more interesting.

    And thank you Covid, I now understand Islam. When you only see a women's eyes, all women are beautiful.

      LOL I think you misunderstood, I said I was disturbed to realize I was NOT attracked to African American women. Racism was a big issue in my redneck hometown. My father's best friend was African American, a Baptist preacher like my Dad, and they would church swap occasionally. I loved it, his church service was twice as long and the music amazing. So I grew up in a town full of Redneck assholes, and had twice a year in a black church, and at age 18 out of town for the first time I was immature and unsophisticated, but really was afraid that this fucking crappy towns racism had rubbed off on me. At that time I had not heard the theory about boys tending to be most attracted to the girls they grew up with, so I made an assumption then that was wrong LOL, One of many.

    The huge online dating sites like Match.com have investigated this very question using the data from their sites.

    Finding #1: The first choice of women and men for a heterosexual romantic relationship is a man or woman of the same race, ethnicity, religion, nationality.

    Finding #2: The second choice, when the first is unavailable, is a White man for all non-White women except Black women. I think the second choice for White women is Latin men. I think the second choice for White men is a Latin woman, third choice might be an Asian woman.

    This stuff is online someplace. I am too lazy right now to rigorously look it up. Be very aware that these results apply ONLY to those who use these types of dating sites.

      yes I def think this is spot on for relationships. people want to marry others of similar values and culture. its more comfortable for them. But I also think men tend to deny the need for sexual attraction when they make these decisions which is why you see a lot of men sexual y attracted to diff types of women from the types they'd choose for relationships.

    They've all got great aspects.. and who they are ( personality) is often a bigger attraction than the physical side of it. I've been with blacks, whites, and Asian.. never been with a Latino or Indian, but I wouldn't rule one out.
