From the dirt near your plants, the $100 Edyn Garden Sensor will send you information on moisture, nutrition, light, humidity and temperature.
Edyn connects to Wi-Fi, so you can check on your plants from anywhere with the free iOS and Android apps.
Setting up Edyn is simple. Install the app, then press the button on the bottom of the device.
You'll see the LED above the button blink as it looks for a Wi-Fi signal. The app will walk you through the process, and the sensor will use your phone to find your Wi-Fi network.
Once it's connected, you can use that button to check on Edyn's battery status. Green means it's good to go.
After it's up and running, you can stick Edyn's stem into the soil of your garden so it can start taking measurements.
Edyn's sturdy, and I had no trouble pushing it into the ground.
The solar panel on top will keep it charged for years.
Once the sensor is in place, use the app to find your specific plants and add them to your digital garden.
From there, you can track their growth and see tips for upkeep.
On the main page of the app, you can see an overview of your sensor's readings and which aspects of plant care need your attention.
The Edyn Garden Sensor monitors everything vital to a plant's health and sends that info to you wherever you are.
