This is. He's the new Formula 1 World Champion, at 23 the youngest ever, he's British, he's black, he's fabulously wealthy already with probably 10 or 12 years racing ahead of him, and he's knocking off that bird who can sing from the Pussycat Dolls, lucky bastard.

Apart from that, though, he's probably having a pretty shit time.

 

And... he lives in Switzerland because he loves Britain that much!

Lewis'll find a way. Fucking hell, man, did you see the race! If you ask me the boy walks on fucking water! Driving over mountains is a piece of piss, surely!

 

He drives an aeroplane without wings, round a smooth track with a massive engineering back-up. I bet he'd be no good in a Rally Car. Now that's proper driving.

 

I'm not arguing, mate, but horses for courses and all that. At F1 he's on the top of the world (Looking down on creation and the only explanation I can find! Shit, went a bit Karen Carpenter there. I don't think anyone noticed. I think I got away with it. Am I thinking this out loud? Bollocks.)

 

True. He did well in only his second season and at only 23. Do you think he'll dominate in a Schumacher type of way for the next few years?

 

I have to say that I doubt it, not because he's not as talented as Schumacher, but because there are several other very talented drivers around at the same time. Look at the last 2 championships: both came down to the last race, both could have been won by 3 drivers (ok, the 3rd placed driver needed a big slice of luck but hope existed).

I think we're going to see a period for the next 5 or 6 years where the racing is going to be close and exciting and engaging and the championship will keep interest until the end.
