So this is going to sound like a weird review. I made these sugar cookies and took them for a gathering at a friend's house. Everyone loved them. They were soft and perfect. There weren't many of us, so not all of them were eaten, so I left them there in a ziploc container.
Months later (think almost a year), these cookies were found by my friend's husband. He just assumed she had gotten them, and he ate them. Apparently they were STILL delicious. It wasn't until she got home and he asked her about them when she remembered where they had come from.
So these are amazing. Forever.
Just like my family would make when I was a kid. The only change I made was that I used pecans instead of walnuts, but that's just be because we were out of walnuts! This is definitely better with walnuts.
My family loved it! Also pretty kid-friendly for making. The girls had fun helping me with it. The only difference I had was using parmesan on some just to try it, but they were absolutely delicious without it!
Delicious cookies, and they did the trick! I also had my young stepdaughters help me make them (they were more than happy because the cookies would help me fed their little sister), and, other than an electric mixer incident, it was a pretty kid-friendly recipe too!

A delicious stew recipe exactly as it is. I added a little garlic salt to my bowl because of preference (but I wouldn't be against not having added it), and my boyfriend ate it with nothing added, so it all depends on the person's taste. The watery juice threw me off at first, but it thickened up after it had the chance to sit for a few minutes. Because of time, but because I prefer slow-cooker recipes cooked on low, I cooked it for 5.5 hours on low, then 2 hours on high (about halved both cooking times), and it turned out perfectly. I'm saving this recipe to make again.
It didn't turn out looking quite as picture-perfectly pretty as the photo shown in the recipe, but it tasted amazing! Would make this many time more. The meat would just fall off the bones. For never having prepared a cornish hen before, I was quite thrilled with it.
