    Brit Hume Nukes Idea of Pelosi Being a ‘Master Strategist’ on Impeachment With a Few Simple Reminders
    Posted at 2:30 pm on January 13, 2020 by Sister Toldjah

    [IMG]

    From the time House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced back in September House Democrats were launching an impeachment inquiry against President Trump over the July call he had with Ukrainian president Zelensky, the MSM, liberal commentators, and Democratic politics have treated her as though she held all the cards and had all the leverage in the debate over whether or not Trump should be impeached.

    Recent developments, including Pelosi’s total surrender to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) when it comes to how the Senate trial will be conducted have proved otherwise.

    But that hasn’t stopped Pelosi from desperately trying to play a few more cards, with one of them being the “Putin” card – because when all else fails, the Russia/Trump collusion hoax must be invoked.

    She did just that during an interview on ABC News Sunday, suggesting by “covering up” Trump’s alleged wrongdoings that McConnell was proving to be a willing accomplice to the supposed Trump-Putin alliance. Watch:

    Kyle Griffin

    @kylegriffin1

    Asked if the U.S. is doing enough to stop 2020 election interference, Pelosi responds: "No, and the president is in complete denial about Russia's role," Pelosi says. "Sometimes I wonder about Mitch McConnell, too. Why is he an accomplice to all of that?"

    Washington Post congressional reporter Paul Kane seemed shocked at Pelosi’s accusation and tweeted it out to his followers:

    [IMG]

    @pkcapitol

    "All roads lead to Putin & sometimes I wonder about Mitch McConnell, too. What's he -- why is he an accomplice to all of that? He has resisted resources ...[for] our critical infrastructure of elections. .... So that's all of a piece with him."
    Wow. @SpeakerPelosi on "This Week".

    This didn’t escape Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume’s notice. Hume responded to Pelosi’s bizarre remarks by pointing out some rather inconvenient facts about how she failed to one up McConnell over the impeachment articles. Because of that, Hume noted, Pelosi has resorted to making (more) unsubstantiated allegations about Republican leaders who refused to play by her rules:

    [IMG]
    Brit Hume

    @brithume

    She painted herself into a corner by withholding the impeachment articles. McConnell essentially did nothing, except propose following the Clinton precedent. Now Pelosi is flailing, making wild charges. Some master strategist. https://twitter.com/pkcapitol/status/1216419380176793601 …

    Paul Kane

    @pkcapitol

    When you mess with the bull, you get the horns, and that’s exactly what happened when Pelosi tried to strong-arm McConnell. As Hume indicated, that she’s reduced to leveling these “wild” charges against the Senate Majority Leader at this stage in the game just emphasizes all the more how badly the “master strategist’s” impeachment strategy failed.

    The Republicans abused their power in impeaching Clinton and the Democrats are abusing their power in impeaching Trump.

    I hope the scores are settled now.

    Perhaps it will all be over before Homecoming. Oh wait that’s high school but oh wait...:)

    Personally what Nancy needs to be fucked really good. It may help to chill out a bit. She's like an impeachment energizer bunny and just keeps on going and going. She needs her pipes cleaned. I think.

    Oh fuck that is just so fucking funny. PR hacks accusing Pelosi of making a decision after watching CNN when there are countless examples of Trump taking actions, some of which could start a fucking war, after watching Fox News. Trump has even reversed himself just because Fox and Friends got mad at him. We can smell the panicked shitted pants from here.

    In the meantime the proof of just how badly House Speaker Nancy Pelosi beat Moscow Mitch just keeps rolling in.

    Funny as hell, these two had a school yard fight and now both are claiming victory.
    What isn't funny as hell is that while they're playing their school yard shenanigans, real work is being ignored.

    What will be the end result be when the dust clears from this whole impeachment mess ? Donald deserves a do over and get 4 more years in office without the disturbance of democrats undermining EVERYTHING he does from day one. And that's a do over he should get for this term and leaving him to be able to run again after the do over, this whole 4 years should be scrubbed .I think.

    Report: President Trump Plans to Transfer $7.2 Billion to Build Border Wall
    Posted at 10:15 pm on January 14, 2020 by Elizabeth Vaughn

    [IMG]

    The Washington Post has reported that President Trump will use his national emergency powers to:

    divert an additional $7.2 billion in Pentagon funding for border wall construction this year, five times what Congress authorized him to spend on the project in the 2020 budget, according to internal planning figures obtained by The Washington Post.

    The Pentagon funds would be extracted, for the second year in a row, from military construction projects and counternarcotics funding. According to the plans, the funding would give the government enough money to complete [a total of] approximately 885 miles of new fencing by spring 2022, far more than the 509 miles the administration has slated for the U.S. border with Mexico.

    According to the report, $3.5 billion will come from military counterdrug programs and the remainder will come from military construction funding. The added funding brings the total amount of border wall spending during the Trump administration to $18.4 billion.

    Over 100 miles of “upgraded wall system” have been completed and an additional 350 miles are in various stages of construction.

    Although many liberal groups have brought lawsuits to stop the border wall construction, on January 8, “the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans lifted the curbs while the DOJ prepares to appeal the lower judge’s decision to block the spending because of the lawsuit.” This ruling released $3.6 billion for the wall.

    White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham issued a statement following the court’s ruling, saying it had “lifted an illegitimate nationwide injunction” and “in doing so has allowed vital border wall construction to move forward using military construction funds. This is a victory for the rule of law. We are committed to keeping our borders secure, and we will finish the wall.”

    According to the Post, “several dozen Pentagon construction projects were delayed or suspended as a result of last year’s reprogramming of $3.6 billion, including road repairs, a waste treatment plant and school construction projects on military bases. It’s unclear if those projects will be delayed again, or if a different set of repairs and improvements could be postponed.”

    Considering that the 2020 budget provides $700 billion for defense spending, somehow I don’t think it will be a problem.

    Last week, acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf told reporters in Yuma, AZ, “I can tell you right now that we remain confident that we are on track to [reach] 400, 450 miles that are either completed or under construction by the end of 2020.”

    This will help President Trump in November. Despite the tremendous Democratic opposition his efforts to build a border wall have faced, he will still have managed to build 400 miles by Election Day. And if he wins reelection, he will complete it in his second term.

    Actually Pelosi and the Democrats did provide some minor funding for Trump's imaginary will in the last budget agreement. Because Trump met all their demands for domestic funding. But the $7.2 is being stolen from the US military which he lies and says he supports. Because in order to take that money away from the Defense Budget they have to cancel things that are supposed to help our troops and their families.

      @stumbler - wouldn't a wall be a defensive maneuver ? A strong border is essential in helping to keep our country safe. Look at any other countries borders, they aren't strong for no reason. Think of our country as a body and the border wall would be like a flu shot that helps the body DEFEND itself from outside elements that can enter and weaken its immune system . It is called preventive medicine. Keyword to note above is ''DEFEND''.I think

      And money spent on a wall is far more productive than the money being spent on all of the investigations etc. to impeach the president.

    Nancy Pelosi Makes an Unintended Admission While Ranting Incoherently About Impeachment
    Posted at 1:30 pm on January 15, 2020 by Bonchie

    [IMG]

    As RedState reported this morning, Nancy Pelosi has appointed her impeachment managers. You’ll be shocked to learn that rabid partisans like Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler, who so politicized the House investigation, are now at the forefront of presenting the case to the Senate.

    There’s also this shot and chaser from another manager chosen.

    [IMG]
    Steve Guest

    @SteveGuest

    FLASHBACK: Meet the Democrats' impeachment manager Zoe Lofgren.

    Last month, ABC's George Stephanopoulos called her out for her hypocrisy on the "partisan use of impeachment."

    Amazingly, all these same people who vehemently opposed Clinton’s impeachment as “partisan” are suddenly all for this partisan impeachment. For Adam Schiff’s part, he even won his office by campaigning against an impeachment manager during Clinton’s trial.

    While Pelosi was announcing the managers, she went on what can only be described as an incoherent rant. Here’s a clip of her attempting to make some kind of elusive point about time.

    [IMG]
    Tom Elliott@tomselliott

    .@SpeakerPelosi begins on an existential note: "I referenced markers that our founders and our poets and others have used over time to place us in time to emphasize the importance of time, because everything is about time. How we use it, how we mark it."

    Wait, what? You’d be forgiven if you thought she was drunk.

    But inside of that word salad of a press conference she held, two statements caught my eye that I think summarize the Democrat viewpoint of impeachment perfectly, even though they’d love to pretend otherwise.

    Take this one citing Putin as one of the reasons for Trump’s impeachment.

    [IMG]
    Daily Caller

    @DailyCaller

    Speaker Pelosi: "This is about the Constitution of the United States and it's important for the president to know, and Putin to know, that voters in America should decide who our president is, not Putin and Russia."

    What does Vladimir Putin have to do with an impeachment over dealings with Ukraine, a country that is currently fighting a sometimes hot, sometimes cold war with Russia?

    I think it’s obvious. This is Pelosi admitting, whether she realizes it or not, that this is really all about re-litigating the 2016 election and handicapping the President for 2020. They see this as their chance to tarnish Trump for not doing their bidding and laying down against Hillary Clinton, while also damaging him enough to usher in a Democrat victory later in the year. To bring up Putin and Trump supposedly stealing elections, during a speech on something totally divorced from that topic, makes that abundantly clear.

    And just to drive that point home further, Pelosi then made this assertion.

    [IMG]
    The Hill

    @thehill

    Speaker Nancy Pelosi: "He has been impeached. He's been impeached forever. They can never erase that."

    Again, if this is just about the rule of law, why is she bragging about having impeached the President forever, as if that follows any semblance of American ideals? If he’s acquitted, then he’s not “impeached forever” anymore than someone acquitted of a crime is charged forever.

    It begs the question of whether we have a fair system or not. Because a fair system doesn’t seek to typecast someone for all eternity based on a partisan investigation, even ignoring the eventual outcome of said investigation (which will be a rightful acquittal of these ridiculous articles of impeachment). But that’s exactly what Pelosi is seeking to do.

    Why? Because of politics. They do not think they can beat Trump in 2020, and that dumpster fire of a debate last night probably only made Democrats more worried about the prospect of four more years of the current administration. In the face of that reality, they are choosing to weaponize the political process in an unprecedented way.

    Pelosi may like to invoke the Founders to make her case, but I’m certain they are rolling over in their graves at this garbage process she’s propagated.

    Nancy Pelosi has no right to mention the constitution in connection with the articles of Trumps impeachment.

    The best thing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi could have done is hold the articles of impeachment. While she had no other real power over Moscow Mitch she sure got the attention ed focused on how utterly corrupt he and the other Senators in the Senate are.

    But far more important Pelosi managed to buy enough time for a ton of new evidence to come out that proves Trump's guilt. And at the very last moment they managed to get their hands on all the evidence Lev Parnas has. Which not only proves Trump was directing him but also and much more troublesome for the Republicans provides evidence that multiple members of Trump's administration were also involved.

    Which is now snowballing.
